Unveiled (1761)
Christianity Unveiled was first published in France
in 1761 under the name of Nicholas Boulanger (1722-1759), an
actual person who was then deceased. The work was
translated into English in 1795 by an American, William
Martin Johnson (1771?-1797), of whom little appears to be
known. This version is based on the British edition of
Johnson's translation, published in 1819 by Richard Carlile.
